North Shore Center for Performing Arts

Music of the Baroque: Bach and the Italians. Eighteenth-century Italy was a vibrant source of musical inspiration. Nicholas Kraemer leads the orchestra in a colorful program showcasing the genius of the Italian Baroque—and Music of the Baroque’s own principal players—including Marcello’s gorgeous Concerto for oboe and Vivaldi’s triumphant Concerto for 2 trumpets. Concertos for 2 and 3 violins by J. S. Bach show just how far—and how loudly—Italian influence resonated.
