Pull out your flapper dress or best gangster fashion and come celebrate all the great work the Evanston History Center does to illuminate our town’s 150+ years! Join us for An Evening at the Blind Pig Speakeasy. Relax first at the Temperance Tea Room for light refreshments (non-alcoholic of course!) overlooking the lake as the sun sets, or bring your password and head right to the Speakeasy. There enjoy the sounds of the era with The Fat Babies Jazz Band, take advantage of the last drink before the History Center goes “dry” during our Prohibition commemoration, and learn to dance the Charleston and other early 20th century dances. Enjoy the fun — just hope we don’t get raided before we are done!
